E-business has become a new hot topic in China.
A new round of e-business time is experiencing hot wind in China.
According to the survey, 63% of Chinese population has used e-business.
As the fast development of the Internet, China will become a hugh
market for e-business.
Young Chinese males are more keen on e-business, most of them are
well-educated. It indicates that e-business has a good foreground
to develop. According the data of China web information center, internet
users (7.9%) are mostly well educated 10 something to 20 something.
It is very differently from other counties. In China, the fact that
most e-business people are young must result in hugh impact on e-business
tendency.
In China, the most popular web goods are books, 56% e-business people
choose to buy books online; audio/video products, such as DVD, games
are ranked second, 24% e-business people will choose to buy these;
music products and clothing are the third, 23% population each. Compare
with the statistics of other countries, online book buyers proportion
is the largest; We believe that it is because e-business people are
mainly consist of undergraduate or young graduates.
According to the payment research result of e-business, for card-issuing
institute, challenges and opportunities are going together.
Compare with the statistics of other countries, the situation in China
is very special; most of the e-business will choose to pay after receiving
goods(34%), followed by bank transfer (31%); only 26% will choose
credit card payment, which does not have too many superiorities over
the forth, bank draft.
In developing countries, e-business users are mostly worried about
payment safety, and in developed countries, e-business users require
mature way of payment. For institutes that are planning to take part
in the competition, can better find out what is the subduing element
of stimulating development.
E-business in China will develop very fast.
Although, there is only less than 8% population is using e-business,
which means e-business users are still limited in certain group
of consumers, considering large population in China, and the fast-growing
internet users, hy-insight still believes China is a giant potential
market.
To 2005, the typical internet users of China are young, single and
well-educated male. Over half of the Chinese internet users aged
less than 25. Meanwhile, one third of the internet users are students.
The average time spending on using internet is 13.4 hours per week.
Two thirds of them are using internet at home.
On the other hand, Internet in China is growing fast, to 2005, the
number internet users has reached one hundred million. In the end
of 2002, the internet users of China was more than Japan, in 2005,
only less than Americans.
As the internet users are mainly well educated young people, we
believe that it also indicate in the next five to ten years, this
group of people can become the mainstream of consumptions, and their
consumption habit will have huge influences.
